Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows leaked to BitTorrent
Written by Smaran on July 17, 2007The final book in the Harry Potter series has been leaked to BitTorrent. A torrent with photographs of each page of the American edition of “Deathly Hallows” has shown up on multiple torrent sites.
We first got wind of this when two torrents of the book appeared on Demonoid.com. They became immensely popular with over a 1000 leechers and seeders each. But after some time were removed by either the uploader, or more likely, the moderators, in a move to avoid the attention of bloodthirsty publishers.
Not surprisingly, both those torrents spread over to mininova and several other sites and are still going strong (update: mininova removed the torrents). One of the torrents only has the first 495 pages of the book, whereas the second is the complete book.
Over the past couple of weeks, numerous torrents have surfaced online claiming to be the 7th and last Harry Potter book. They are all fakes. Fan fiction. This one, on the other hand, is the real thing. Someone has managed to get their hands on the American edition of the book and has photographed each page of the book and uploaded it to BitTorrent.
The main complaint that’s coming up in comment threads on these sites is that the quality isn’t great. You can just barely manage to read each page. And as some downloaders promptly noted, a few pages cannot be read at all without editing the images in Photoshop.
Die-hard fans of the series will undoubtedly rush to grab a copy of the torrent for themselves. But anybody else would really have to see whether reading the book a week before the rest of the world is worth risking their eyesight and brains, squinting to make out what happens when Harry confronts He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the last time.

I dont think all those people know about the new book. I mean how will they know if harry dies or if voldemort dies. They havent read it yet. I dont even know myself. Thats because I havent read the book yet. When they read the book and watch the new movie they will see if they are right or if there wrong. I even herd thre was 7 Boooks and Movies of Harry Potter. But thats probably a rumor. Dont believe what the other people because they dont even know yet. PS. Harry Potter is a really popular movie!

I myself have been through many websites looking at spoilers (i have finished the book) and many are different and incorrect. This one is no exception believe me.
People i already have the book. Harry is not dead. Voldermort dies, Charity the muggle studies teacher at hogwarts dies. That is what i have found out so far.

okay im sorry but to you, you like to call these people “morons” for likeing the harry potter books? well im thinking that i work at chapters and hear ALOT of different opinions on books and your “classic” LOTR isnt a “classic” in alot of peoples eyes. it all depends on what you want to read and you cant judge people like you are. i personaly dont read very often but personaly if i had a choice between a book with the greatest “literary style”, which i probly wont care to much about or be interested in or a book with something that i honestly like and REALLY fully interested in reading id pick the one i like reading not the one that is written SUPER well or what ever. i dont care i work in the kids department in a chapters and even some of the books that are 80% pictures i sometimes enjoy more then the ones that have words i could care less if i even knew the meaning of. the book does not need to be written by a freaking genious it just needs to make the person reading it interested thats all so stop insulting the people reading harry potter its a personal preference and a choice.
As for the “spoilers” i agree with the fact that for the people who are pissed about it…why exactly would you go to a thread for “exposing the book” if you honestly didnt want to know what happend?..hmmmm…
