Yes, it certainly is.

And the one and only way to discern what two people have decided to communicate between one another is by disallowing any information to pass between them without supervision.

Both logically and in practice, copyright can not be enforced while retaining freedom of speech.

That being the case it doesn’t really matter one whit what “positive” results might come out of copyright. In much the same way that slavery can not be sanctioned even if it DOES help selected parts of the market.

All you’re really doing is re-quoting the same dogma which was falsified conclusively way back when the cassette tape was invented.
