this doesn’t work vary well if you have your torrent client set to unlimited download and upload as the torrents suck up all available bandwidth. So a trial to see if doing a little throttling may improve customers quality of service seems like a good idea.

I knock 20% of my maximum download & upload speed in µTorrent to allow me to still have a responsive connection.
