ICE Officially Seize NinjaVideo Domains

At the end of June 2010, nine sites connected to the streaming of unauthorized movies were targeted by the U.S. Government, including the hugely popular NinjaVideo.

After more than a year, last week five people connected to the site were indicted by a grand jury on copyright infringement and conspiracy charges.

While the raids against Ninja marked the first round in the ongoing “Operation in Our Sites” through which more than 100 domain names have been seized, the URLs operated by the site remained in a state of limbo for more than a year.

Yesterday, however, ICE officially moved take over NinjaVideo.net and NinjaThis.net.

Both domains now redirect to the familiar “this domain has been seized” notice.
