Just a few thoughts:
Czech Republic and Slovakia (2 different states)
They’re mostly going after people using DC networks
And Strahov gets some raids from time to time every now and then….

Government officials just do what the highest bidder says. So, really, filesharers should just write a letter and ask how much a law costs now days, and ask if we can buy one.

It’s so sad when a government doesn’t even CARE anymore whether the public know it’s working for big companies OVER the interests of its people – the real issues that would help its people – the drugs trade, arms trade, organised (and I can’t state this boldly enough) FOR PROFIT crime, murders etc etc.

Let us not lose our voice, citizens of these countries.

Let us NOT ALLOW our ELECTED officials in government to FORGET that they are put in their seats to serve and help US the public, the citizens and individual human beings of these nations! NOT to serve these sometimes behemoth creations called “big businesses” just because they have money.

WE, the PEOPLE elect you, our government to SERVE & REPRESENT us and PROTECT US from such things as EXPLOITATION by multinationals and other forces for our ill.

One article turned this into “file-sharing” and the rest just ran with it.

They forgot to tell you that Strahov is well known for warez distribution for the last 15 years. And everyone there who is involved in P2P has his HDDs crypted. So police just seized computers with crypted HDDs. Sad story. They just had to show IFPI they are still fighting pirates.

And, in reading other sources, they were also cracking the softwares protection themselves, something the above story leaves out in order to put more focus on the ooooooso bad file sharing community.

Those arrested weren’t just sharing files. Thats much more means to an arrest.
