It’s “file SHARING”!!!
Anyone can share whatever they want of their own property.
Most of us who went to pre-school and kindergarten (and in some of the better parented families) were taught to share.
I have shared my clothes (not giving MORE money to Gucci!), my laptops (no more money for Toshiba, Dell, HP), my videos and CD’s (ya, same thing), my home (does the developer, architect, plumber get a cut of that?), my body (uh, would my parents deserve a cut)?

I’ve noticed that a lot of this whining and moaning over “internet piracy” is coming from companies that control the distribution of said products, and not the creators themselves.

Middlemen reaping the majority of profits off media damages the creative process. Instead of artists and art trying to put itself out there and attract an audience these companies controlling distribution call in focus groups and attempt to manufacture things that will merely be popular, all originality and creativity be damned.

Sky TV part of New Corporation has systematically outbid Free to Air TV for major sports broadcasting. But then instead of keeping a tight ship and ensuring that none of their transmissions is broadcast by themselves or their customers over the interntet, they actuially allow eastern European countries who stream tv to computers to buy ans distribuye their streams. Once on the net it is public property. Tough!

The is a war Plain and simple and started when we were denyed the ability of backing up what we bought and we were made criminal when we had to hacks a disk to do what should be and was a legal right to be able to back up. as I no longer buy software I can not back up or recover free on the web
