It’s still illegal to violate copyright and there are already legal repercussions even before this law comes into action. She should be called on this to illustrate the point. Her immediate reaction on twitter when called on this was to try and imply her friend was the composer of the music. Seems like she changed her story when she realised what a hugely obvious lie that was.
Funny that her second explanation *still* doesn’t exonerate her, she really must have no idea about the law she passed, doesn’t exactly fill you with confidence, especially when others in her party were talking about how the Internet is like Skynet, and another about how they had to explain file sharing to her with literal boxes, like she was in kindergarten or something.
