Klaxxon Starts Where aXXo Left Off
Written by Ernesto on December 20, 2007A few weeks ago we reported that the popular DVD ripper aXXo decided to take a break and stopped releasing new material for the time being. Around the same time a new face entered the non-scene scene and whenever people searched for aXXo torrents, KLAXXON rips started to appear.
The last official aXXo torrent was uploaded over a month ago, after that is has been awfully quiet. When aXXo was still active, an estimated one million people downloaded his DVDrips every month. This did not go unnoticed to malware peddlers and anti-piracy organizations who used the aXXo tag to spread their evil. However, it now seems that a new ripper called KLAXXON, is also benefiting from aXXo’s popularity.
It’s safe to say that KLAXXON’s name is inspired by aXXo, thereby using the popularity of aXXo to promote his/her DVDrips in the search results of BitTorrent sites. It’s an effective way to get attention because even after a month of absence, aXXo is still among the most searched keywords on most BitTorrent sites.
It turns out that KLAXXON’s timing was spot on. Intentionally or not, the rips (mostly older titles) started to appear on torrent sites a few days before aXXo posted his last torrent. The quality of the rips is not bad according to most of the comments. The only thing thats seems odd are the file sizes, they vary quite a bit, from 500MB to well over 1GB.
I doubt whether it’s wise, but KLAXXON even has a weblog with more details about the releases and a requests page where we read:

It looks like KLAXXON enjoys pleasing their “loyal fans” on their way to BitTorrent stardom. A hobby that turns out to be quite risky to some, I’m sure that the anti-pirates already placed their spotlights on this newcomer.

Klaxxon can’t be any older than 14 using a one-click ripper. Congrats on making your name similar to axxo, F*ckn fgt.
Why the fuck would I wait months for a dvd rip (in this case Legend) when I can download a perfectly decent DVDScr now, and watch it on my 10K system?
So what if the sound is not coming through in x.x - these days i don’t need that, I rarely get a chance to go to the cinema, and I don’t want to wake the children, so DL’ing movies is fine by me.
All of the abuse from you people reflects your immaturity, jealousy and evidently your poverty - although mummy and daddy clearly have given you internet so they don’t have to spend time with your arrogant, self-indulging asses…
I gave the KLAXXON entity a try and the quality IS GARBAGE. Maybe we can put his name out there a little more though? If we expose the poor quality rippers maybe they can keep the **AA busy while the quality rippers continue to do what they do.
I dont know what rip you downloaded disappointed but i have downloaded several of klaxxons files and the quality has been absolutely perfect even better than axxo’s rips.
Perhaps you are just one of these purist who limit yourselves to living in the past you have elevated axxo to some higher pedestal just because he was popular when in fact his rip’s were no better or worse than the majority of all the other rippers.
Your memory of axxo rips has become clouded in the 3 months he has been away.
To all I have had absolutely no quality issues with klaxxon rips whatsoever.
Try them for yourselves and ignore these pointless fools who are having a love affair with a retired ripper.

PEOPLE, AXXO AND KLAXXONS RIPS BLOW, NOT BECAUSE HE USES “ONE-CLICK” RIP SOFTWARE. IT’S BECAUSE HE STAYS WITHIN THE CONSTRAINTS OF HAVING A 700MB FILESIZE. SCARCELY HAVE I SEEN A DECENT 1CD RIP THAT HAS AC3 (UNLESS IT’S 2CH 192Kbps). YEAH HE DOES USE A ONE-CLICK ENCODER, BUT HIS SETTINGS OR STANDARDS ARE OUT-OF-WHACK. IF YOU WANT TO USE AC3 5.1, THEN ANYTHING OVER 1:37:00 SHOULD BE DONE IN A 2CD RIP, TO MAINTAIN A DECENT VIDEO BITRATE. (1000 Kbps IS ALWAYS NICE :)) LESS DURATION THAN THAT AND U CAN USUALLY GET AWAY WITH A 1CD RIP (ALTHOUGH I RECOMMEND DOING A 2CD RIP ANYWAYS IF YOU HAVE HIGH-BITRATE 5.1). THE “SCENE” HAS STANDARDS FOR A REASON, ALTHOUGH I DISAGREE WITH SOME OF THEM, THEY ARE THERE TO MAINTAIN QUALITY & HELP ENSURE THAT EVERYONE’S STANDALONE CAN PLAY THEM, NO MATTER WHICH CHIPSET YOU HAVE IN YOUR MACHINE. Who cares what you do to watch the movies, if you like cd then use cd if you like dvd use dvd no one really cares. I my self use my xbox 360 and have never had any complaints. If I want a smaller size file i just run windows media encoder other wise I deal with the size or I can always put it on a cd to upload later on. Theres no right or wrong way to do it. Also if you don’t like aXXo then don’t dl from aXXo, if you do like aXXo then dl from aXXo its that simple.

Wow, can’t believe I read all that, and I don’t even particularly care. Funny how internet psychology works. Personally, I liked aXXo quality, but wasn’t a fan of most of the movies, since I have pretty high standards in the type of films I watch. As for KLAXXON, who cares, doesn’t affect my life any.
Also, for any interested in documentaries instead, check great one’s out @ mvgroup.org where they specialize in all types of docus and the community is really nice.

Omg guys it is 10th of February and aXXo is lost….
everyone i have d/led from has had at least 1 shitty quality d/l so far the klaxxon d/ls i have tried have been good on my hdtv but i aint counting on ever finding one source for my d/ls
KlaXXon is pretty good- maybe he is aXXo? Anyways whoever makes great quality DvDrips deserves props.
