im from the uk, i've been living and working in kuwait, for 5 years, and blocking torrent sites was a complete waste off time. because of the religion, they dont drink alcohol, porn is not allowed( or a relationship with a female unless your married) pork, and all other kinds of , well anything that in the western world is ok..

i think they blocked most sites, cause of the porn / porn links.. not for the copyright laws... but there are ways around that ( proxy sites eg unseensurfing.com / vtunnel ) and as far as evrything else , every fucker here, is drunk.. or atleast they all drive like they are. they have shops selling copy.... fucking everything.. movies watches clothes, you can buy a brand new playstation, in the box that they will chip, and supply you with 50 odd games... as for " relationships" bollocks.. everyone out here has atleast 3 girlfriends, or a phone full of whore numbers, the kuwaitis rent places that there 3 wifes dont know about, so they can fuck some bangladeshi man up the arse ( women are for kids, men are for fun)

they bloocked torrent sites..... hmmmm, think they should sort a few other things out first???

So they care so much about piracy? Why dont they shut all the stores in Hawalli, an area famous in Kuwait for selling all kinds of illegal copies. Or why don't they take over all those street sellers who are every where in Kuwait?

Why kill a technology instead?

lol. Im a teen currently living in Q8. If the government did this to stop the people from watching pornography they arent doing a very good job. My friends both foreigners and kuwaitis have figured out a way around this by fiddling around with the proxy numbers so that they can go any site they want. Now my friends still get to download all they want without worrying bout blocked sites.

I live in Kuwait, for a several months and do not really disapointed with its policy, cause of using the www.strongvpn.com Open VPN account. So now i'm using the american IP while surfing the Internet. Sometimes the government blocks more services, like Skype or Google, but i really do not care :D
That is what I wish you.
