Maybe i’m getting to old but most everything offered by the entertainment industry isn’t even worth downloading for free.

Do they not understand that people that download wouldn’t buy their product anyway? No, they just see it as lost revenue. Why are these corporations allowed to count their chickens before they hatch?

Most people gross less income now than in the past due to inflation. If there was no illegal downloading the corporations would still see sales reduced compared to the pre-google days probably to the same current figures.

Time for a change…

This sounds to me as if those being contacted are simply being contacted to identify them for possible legal assualt, the feds favourite tricks all involve luring potential stool pigeons with generous offerings that turn out to be a poison pill, dont even talk to these lawyers, stay safe and stay secure.

I guess if you can’t get the law to step in to shut down a site, option 2 is buy em out and take each user to court. Just sayin.

If they offered me a nice sum of cash for my site, I don’t see why not. Just clear the IP and e-mail tables of the database before handover and start up again a new site at a new URL.
