In the end its 100% there fault piracy exists. How is it we can transfer files to thousands of people in the matter of minutes while they take months to get a show to other countries.. I know im comparing apples to oranges but am I really? In the end the only thing that matters is that people get what they want..

The logistics of how it gets done is not the consumers problem.

If they can muscle there way to sue people they can muscle there way to get the shows to other countries on time.

I also download using ed2k/kad b/c not always is the same stuff on both networks. Ed2k is like the Smithsonian for Rare files. Thats what the network is great for. Not always just the latest & greatest but rare goodies too. Long like ed2k & Kad.

Back in the early days of ed2k, private (unpublished) servers and trading groups were common, and many sites (as well as individuals) operated their own servers. (early edonkey server software could only handle about 3k-5k users max)

Little-Known fact:
Private ed2k communities could be actually much faster at downloading certain types of files than private Bittorrent communities, due to it’s on-the-fly compression — a feature which Bittorrent never supported — so files such as uncompressed ISOs could be downloaded in about half the time on ed2k as they would require using Bittorrent, which does not compress files in-transit.

BitComet is the ideal client for downloading files that are on both torrent and ed2k networks, because Bitcomet can simultaneously download the same file from both networks as a single file.

I was a bit sorry to see torrents take over ed2k as the most popular p2p network. ED2K had, and still has, many advantages over Bittorrent.

What about the countless shows that don’t get put on DVD cause the studios are either too lazy or caught in never ending legal dramas that prevent them from ever being released to the fans? Those questions is what lead me to using The-RealWorld and eventually co-founding TVU with Che.

Not all countries get the media distribution the lucky few do. This month we’ve had unique hit from 197 countries. I can assure you ohabu that all of them don’t have the access to the things that me and you take for granted….in this specific instance TV shows.
