Though you criticize Lily`s methods, I think that it doesnt matter how, but public should be aware. And she was brave enough to let people know. Even if realizing it all after her income started to be dependent on it.
You know, its like buying free range chicken. Thought who have never been to battery farms have no idea how they suffer. But thanks to education in this sphere provided by famous chefs,articles, etc, people become aware. I honestly didnt give a shit about downloading/not downloading the illegal music, but thanks to Lily`s information I will never do it again – like I will never buy a battery farm chicken. It doesnt matter how you let people know, result matters! Fully support Lily, she is brave, she is making a difference! and you are just bla bla bla…

Seems Radiohead is or has a member on the FAC– the artists who apparently want to see file-sharing controlled/throttled. Money and control.
(That seems like a contradiction for Radiohead.)

To those who say they would have paid for Lily Allen’s albums; there are free, purer, non-commercial artworks out there on the net. You have to do a little sifting to find what you like, but the record companies do that also anyway and not necessarily on your behalf.

Why support industry financially with their lawsuits, and allow them to control what you listen to?

It is hard to understand why everyone seems to believe it’s ok for people to have music for free? Record contracts for artists ofter very low percentages of sales and touring is expensive for up and coming artists. I understand there needs to be new ways of making money from music or less and less new artists will be able to come through. If it’s something you enjoy would you not want to reward someone for that?
