Ha,Ha i just so love it when talentless people like Lily Allen cut there own throats with stupidity like this. She has just ruined her career. Oh well back she goes to scrounge off Daddy. If someone downloads one of my songs and enjoys it then thats a fan who may purchase a CD in the future so good on them let them download my songs. Now if they download my songs and sell them thats different and thats where you should of concentrated on the black market sellers, counterfiet artists not the poor recession hit public of the united kingdom. Did you know that nearly 20 million people in the uk download either p2p etc.. Thats a lot of fans you have just lost.

Everyone is assuming the worst but this was BEFORE she was famous. She was just doing what the Super Mash Bros. are doing and everyone loves them. Now that she has her own shit she took it down and realized illegal downloading is bad. People are allowed to make mistakes. That’s what some public speakers do. A drunk driver who killed a student on spring break came to my high school to talk about drunk driving and how it ruins your life and others. People can make mistakes, realize their mistakes, and try and turn it around.

I’m not a supporter of Lily Allen, but jumping on the spelling mistake of ‘obvious’ at the beginning of this article seems very stupid – especially as Ernesto then spells ‘wrong’ with an ‘i’ and ‘here’ with an ‘e’ on the end. Typos I’m sure, but if I was going to point out someone’s spelling mistakes I’d make damn sure mine were 100% correct first.

I remember when ‘Home Taping is Killing Music’ was the equivalent. Then the horror of selling blank CD’s to members of the public. This has been going on for over 30 years. The large record companies have no interest in change except to extend the copyright period – isn’t it about time that musicians worked out a new paradigm for living off their work?

Having said that, it already exists with bands selling their own stuff online. So why isn’t it happening more and why hasn’t some bright entrepreneur set up an umbrella site for all these self-marketing bands?

Well said sir. I don’t agree with her attitude on piracy and am ok with anyone who wishes to raise their own little Jolly Roger for non-commercial purposes, but the tone of some of these posts are just hateful.

I’ve downloaded some of her material, enjoyed it, and bought some. Don’t like her music? No problem – don’t. But there’s no need to be so nasty about it.
