Peter Gutmann’s paper is probably nearly as old as you are it was good theoretically in it’s day but I don’t think even then it was designed to be implemented as a single algorithm as you normally know the type of storage you are trying to erase before you click go.

To the defense of whatbox I’ve used them for about a year now. I’ve had several takedown noticed and the process is very streamlined and simple. They never pass on information and only disable services till the item in question is removed. The fact that TF is implying that seedboxes are unsafe doesn’t really fly with me as they are still much, MUCH, safer than regular torrenting.
