Whoever claims to putting your &#039;phone line in&#039; in the UK is always BT as they own and manage the UKs telephone system. You may pay another provider the line rental but it still goes to BT who have to manage and repair the lines. 

The only alternative to BT is cable, virgin will actually do you a phone line not connected to BTs network.]]></description>
