I’m going to ask for further info along the lines of evidence, question the accuracy & plausibility of figures quoted by the “industry” etc – but any hints would be welcomed too.
And this request applies to all of you, not just Gas :)

In particular, you need to mention “[Website-blocking by private companies] jeopardise people’s rights to due process and the broader need for oversight and accountability.”

This is potentially horrendous guys, and it’s soooooo important you “speak up” NOW before the laws formed and implemented.

PLEASE write NOW in protest to your local MP.

We are not talking national security here and failure to consider net users (voters) as being stakeholders and their representative bodies being shut out of discussions when what is at stake is the public’s freedom and right to privacy is in itself evidence we no longer (if we ever did) live in a democratic country.

Lemme know if there’s problems reading it please, and I’ll try to fix it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the freedom of information act is flouted in this case , or at the very least , the information will be given under conditions of a court injunction.
