It’s not like they can’t go after someone just because they don’t have money. A decade ago, Joel Tenenbaum, a then 20 year old student, got hit with a nearly quarter of a million dollar fine for sharing a few songs. I can’t speak for Joel, but when I was a 20 year old student I know I certainly did not have millions in my bank account.

If Kim looses the cases against him, and the money is gone – either from paying lawyer fees, buying me some cool gadgets, or just disappeared off the face of the earth, they can still garnish his income – take 30% of his paychecks for the rest of his life – until his fine has been paid off.

They openly say it in public, just no one in America gives a horses ass.
