If you never see a movie, you can never grow to love it.
If you never grow to love it, then you never buy it in tangible media.
If you never buy it in tangible media, then the movie has poor sales and fewer copies of it exist in the wild (to allow future recovery & viewing for potential future customers many generations from now).

Primary rule of computer ownership. IF YOU LIKE A FILE OR IT IS IMPORTANT FOR SOME REASON, MAKE A COPY OF IT. Why? Because at some point your hard drive will fail, your disks may degauss, optical media can be scratched or cracked, things get lost or burned or broken. Your copies now are the only reason that file may survive into the far future. Your file copy is an investment of TIME and a way to lock a period of creativity into perpetual stasis for future usage. The more copies out there of something that you view as important will result in it surviving against all odds and forces that may destroy individual copies.

Once again you guys can’t seem to stop lying. Every time the claim is made that independents benefit from filesharing you claim nobody downloads those because they’re not Top 10. So tell us – exactly how are indie films hurt if, as you claim, no one’s downloading them? What a tard.

The study fails to note that most indie films don’t even have a theatrical release so box office revenues are a moot point. Megaupload offerings bled legit sales and did hurt the revenues of films that depend on DVD and VOD for income.

i guess one might go see more movies if it wasn’t so expensive .. but then again i hate paying a lot for movies that in the end are nothing more then the trailer aka JUNK .. so i guess i would still preview them .. just like when i buy shoes i try them on before i pay ..
