Cant say I had windows crash very often.. I think it depends how you set it up.. the only time it crashes is driver issues.. I had it crash unplugging or plugging in a USB hard drive though.

Win 8 has been stable so far,...

but unix GUIs have atleast stuck with the X and windows layout of windows so makes it easier for windows users to use..

Mac is the one that changed it all around

however MS have copied the ideas of the bottom bars and sides from Mac.. with their own flavour

Haven't used GoG for a while, have you? They bring in brand new games regularly and have for a couple of years now. Yes, they license discontinued games, but they are now purveyors of new content in addition to their old catalog.

Also check out Humble Bundle and Humble store. Those are my preferred places to buy games, as many come with cross-platform support.

Even if formatting get a bit screwed, whole text is still readable.
<i>"And when it comes to true innovation Microsoft (and Apple as well
really), they just clone and badly recycle other peoples brilliant
ideas."</i>

Oh, be fair. Apple, under Steve Jobs, did brilliant work in recycling old products - and make them work.

Now that he's gone I fully expect them to ossify and crumble in due time. They only brought him back because they were on the brink, and that's where their traditional methods will bring them right back to.

Windows. a OS one has no choice at using or not. one which is part of a restricted oligopoly and is almost a monopoly on itself. Windows who enjoys nothing more then shouting how you are a victim if that stupid Windows Genuine "Advantage" even remotely thinks you aren't legal, despite the reality that its Microsoft who is the victim as the OS works anyway and complying to WGA wont magically make any bad programs the installer placed go away... Yeah i despise WGA...

All i hear are excuses to try and convince the business people piracy isn't a problem. Not that that is bad, prefer that over the opposite (crying that its because of mean pirates their product failed). Just still...mostly irrelevant to consumers.
