Its simple. If by dutch law Mininova may not contain external links that provide such things, *.nl and -implied- all dutch people are fucked. Including Google and any searchresults provider.

many of the files that are apps are infected with virus
they are only removed if user report it but many of these infected torrent remain active
a clean site? you got to watch what your downloading, one bad torrent can ruin everything on your computer forcing you to format your hard drive because its impossible to clean out hundreds of virus and spyware that are downloaded after these trojan have been executed by the user who thought it was a harmless. These file are .exe and are always under 1mb so be very careful what to run. These are nasty virus that disable task manager, change your homepage, max out your cpu resources at 100 percent so you can’t do anything but turn off computer and format the HD, reinstall windows. mininova is already filtering torrent before the trial which mean they already lost, if asked to shutdown that is what their going to do. since 99.9 percent of torrent are copyrighted they would have to remove almost everything. I think they should just shut down the site or wipe out everything and sell their domain if they can’t stand the heat or just scared.

This trial is really different in comparison with the TPB-trial. The worst thing that could happen to Mininova that it only will give open source torrents and torrents of his Content Distribution service. Erik Dubbelboer is right, Mininova will never go down. The nova will shine forever :)

you think it should be entirely up to the content creator on how they want to distribute, if they want to use both the music industry AND use torrent sites then that is there perogative(sp). it should NOT be up to one of the distributors, not up to the courts, not up to governments. i am sure alot of content creators when they find out they have a larger following than what shows in only record sales would be ecstatic, if not, then they may be creating for the wrong reasons.i am a creator, i’ve done shows locally, i’ve sold cd’s and given away free mp3′s on my site of everything i have done, sure i don’t make a living at it, but thats not why i do what i do :)

I’m sorry, but why should Mininova fund the filtering of copyrighted works? If the copyright owners are so concerned then surely paying a little to protect against their supposed massive losses is a non-brainer?

Because in reality, they know that filtering Mininova will do nothing to protect their works. The aim is to shut down Mininova, and then move onto the next site.

Note: I don’t agree with any kind of filtering system anyway.

The best thing is that the filter doesn’t work at all,not at any level.If it filters a torrent out then it’s replaced by a textfile that tells you were to go,also there is the community that give you a direct link to the torrent in the comments.
Mininova should know better then to think this will save their asses. They knew what their doing since the day mininova cam to live,just think about it for a second.
Would mininova be what it is today if they used a real content filter from day one ?? Nah,I don’t think so.
