I'd like to thank the people behind Mininova for not allowing pornographic material on the site. I am delighted that my family and kids can surf your site without running across x-rated content. That would SO take the pleasure out of using Mininova. Keep up the great work and thanks for your decency! :)

Excellent interview. I love mininova, have been using it for years!

Like a lot of other sites though, it can sometimes be difficult to find what your after. That's why I prefer http://www.flixflux.co.uk for movies!

Okay... What a logic! If someone doesn't use torrent you immediately identify him as a noob... hmm interesting... somewhere suits my age? ha~ when you have no idea how old I am

I wouldn't be so quick to make that assumption. I find it hard to believe that enough people going to mininova to get things free are not blocking ads and clicking/buying the ads they see to pay the server and b/w costs.
Well, that's not hard at all.
See TPB http://rixstep.com/1/20060708,00.shtml

[...] While downloading MP3s are mainly used through LimeWire, iTunes, MySpace, etc., torrents make downloading full MP3 albums easier similar to a .zip file, so many people have been turning to this service. Personally, I have not tried out the service myself, but I believe that this relatively new P2P protocol is here to stay and the MPAA or RIAA won’t be able to do much to stop its growth.
I've never used a BitTorrent in my life and this is the first time I heard of Mininova.
I've noticed that Mininova mentions that they keep all the copyrighted files off their web sites, but my search result gives me back myriad of warez files. DVD-ripped movies and all the copyrighted softwares and games. Some copyright policy, huh?
Send them a copy right violation Notice & they will remove it. Companies dont care, as it actually isnt hurting a Penny! All the files r not in raw format i.e. its xvids n stuff so the real stuff is in ur RETAIL store, go there n buy lol.

If the RIAA is suing AllOfMp3 for 1.3 trillion based on 11 million downloads, then we're looking at 118 trillion for Mininova (if they were AllOfMp3, of course). Is that larger than any country's GDP lol?

A nice interview. Mininova is one of the best torrent search engines, imo.

Thanks for the great service and clean interface (that's a precious commodity nowadays!)
