As in, you mean, “savvy enough to use torrents in the first place”?

Honestly, when all it takes to bypass whatever block you care to name is five minutes worth of very basic google-fu and the ability to read simple instructions, then the bar is not at a very high level.

However, you are correct that measures such as these will throw spanners in the works for the pirates who have serious mental disabilities…

yeah the ‘merican MAFIAA wants to lobby for penalizing sharing files in my country, but the local MAFIAA/labels sees bootlegs as a way to keep on raking in more cash, they know they make more money on the radio and putting it on their stupid tv shows, folks recognize the music more since its shared faster and more people go to concerts or buy their merchandising. and its a way to launder money for the cartels so not gonna happen fortunately. i still change my dns just in case…law specifically says i can download what i wish for personal use, but not resell it. we bootleg everything even physical goods like clothes and electronics, but ip law is specific to certain categories, i could make a clothing brand called apple and not get sued, since apple has only the TM for electronics, and they don’t make clothes…
