Slightly off topic: I understand the no money back policy on digital media since it would be too easy to use the product then return it but there is a disturbing trend now with Steam to sell unfinished, potentially broken pieces of software under the euphemisms of "Green Light" or "Early Access" with no recourse to the customer because of the no money back policy.

I wouldn't mind it so much if there was at least a minimum of quality assurance checking of these products by Steam but it seems they are willing to push almost anything handed to them by a developer so they can take their cut.

It's one thing to use a no money back policy to protect your business, it's another to exploit that so that you can sell broken product to consumers.

the MPAA has to be the biggest disseminator of worthless garbage on earth. they represent media corporations that are so bankrupt and lazy that they haven't had a truly original idea since before Nixon was president.

That they "demand" the source code just shows how grubbing and desperate they are.

These cultural parasites hide behind walls of lawyers because they're too fucking scared to talk and discuss things with the people they want to sell their worthless "product" to.

I say keep fighting them, and let the fuckers become extinct by their own greed, because sooner or later, the people who buy their stuff are going to have had enough of being ripped off by the greedy bastards.

Perhaps one perspective that may help is:
What do you think Capitolism is all about?
Remeber hearing about Mass-Production in school? Free the individual, and make things at less expense. Did that translate for the average person? No. Lost job, prices never moved (or went up). The only people that benefitted were the Corporate execs, not that they care about their customers, because the real money is in "gambling" on Wall St (the new Vegas).
Yea, lesson frakking learned. If I want a movie from hollywood, I'll download it and fan my fanny at them at the same time. Call it a hostile repurposing of no-such-product for I did not remove anything. Simply treating them as they demonstrated they like to be treated.
