I'm amazed at the length "Alec" goes to justify the tampering with evidence. In what other criminal investigation is the victim allowed to change the evidence himself? Alone? It seems like, in this case, only a few textfiles were edited to remove then name of a "spy". In other criminal investigations, names may be blanked out before being produced in court, but that's the work of the official investigators, not a lobbyist.

So now, we have an alleged tampering of evidence for which we fortunately had traces. Can you prove there was no other tampering? Actual forging?

But the worst part is not that the lobbyist acted in this way. Company executives act (legally... well, mostly) to their own profit. That's a given, that's why you build and work in a company. Criminals act against the law in their own benefit. That's also a given, that's why they are criminals. (Guess where the lobbyist goes here. A hint: "both" is an acceptable answer.) No, the problem lies with the police acting on that kind of second-hand evidence (when even the first-hand evidence is unreliable).

You don't need to forget about prosecuting criminals. You need to remember to do it legally. The system that sues criminals has to be, well, not perfect as it's still a human system, but as clear and flawless as it can be. In this case, it clearly was not.

So sick and tired of this. Money makes the world go to hell.
Anyway, ther are lots of workarounds to those DMCA/MPAA/RIAA guys - VPNs, proxies, etc. Just use them and they will not get any evidence.
If setting up a VPN/proxy is to complex for you - use external download boxes. BTW: external download boxes guarantee that there will be no evidence of you downloading any torrents.
BTW, I can provide you with more details on this and access to my torrenbox located outside of DMCA/MPAA/RIAA jurisdiction. Send me a message to jack-torrentfreak at ukr dot net
