If greed was subdued and they made DVD/CD content affordable in the first place then I may not need torrent services.

Money truly is the root of all evil and as long as this world maintains a monetary economy, it will enslave the poor and make the rich richer.

That’s the whole point of shutting down websites that threaten the elitist ‘status quo’.

Lets not forget that international task-forcing of multiple countries to take down these sites probably cost the tax payers more then the profit they made.

I generally don’t comment much in places like this but this post ticks me off. Why should the US be locked away from the internet? We built the damn thing if you remember.
So a few industries are making it hard to download someone elses work for free, big deal, use your ingenuity and come up with a better way, thats what creative people do. Out of curriosty I wonder how many folks here actually buy what they like once they download it, I’m betting very few do.
In this age of things like Netflix, cheap dvd rentals, and on demand viewing can you really blame the industry for trying to protect it’s income? (regardless of how crappy that work may be)
I don’t have a problem with filesharing but I strongly believe if you like what you’ve taken then you need to buy it, the people who made it deserve to be paid for their work.

Oh, also if you don’t like what’s coming out of Hollyweird lately, your more than welcome to step up and do it better if you can ;) in fact, I insist! Movies lately trully suck!
