If they did find someone violating copyright and can prove it (say, someone charging for access to a given account), then yeah, they’d have to file a DMCA takedown request, or else they have no case.

I’m thinking that the MPAA is only going for the intimidation factor, hoping to force a settlement (most likely by way of injunction) before they’d actually have to prove their case.”

haha – every file host is popular because they allow people to upload illegal files… not their fault… people are abusing their service (in their eyes)…

and they listen to DMCA so… they are within the law…
