What a bunch of knobheads we have on this forum? I bet every single one of you have (at one point in your pathetic life) downloaded a pirated copy of music or software for your own consumption. Why the bad mouthing to each other beggars belief, YOU ALL are guilty, get over it and move on. I’ve done the same in the past, if its there to be exploited (especially the prices some of these companies FORCE you to pay ” and their feeble excuses about why the prices they charge needs to be”). However the companies try and force the issue, something else comes along to push the boundaries further so stop slagging each other off and keep ahead of the game. I give you an example: the pirate bay has been blocked through ISP’s, go to chrome extensions and you will see that you can unblock this if you desire without the ISP knowing about it. As i said before, one step ahead and push the boundaries.

On the lock my doors question the answer is almost never but thats down to where i live.

But to be honest if i lived in such an are where locking my doors was advisable i would probably need to consider something like an alarm, security guard or a guard dog. Some of which would mean locking my doors would be pointless.

But we all know analogies suck anyway. SO i will leave this alone now.

P.S A very popular Adult tracker was on the block lists recently. It was due to the fact they used a temporary hosted server in a major French datacentre while their normal one was out for repairs. A lot of users complained that the tracker was down. The problem in the end was PB.

That datacentre probably contained a good percentage of the worlds seedboxes at the time. So blocking it was rather harmful.

In the end the only solution was turn of PB until they moved back to their normal server or to not use the P2P list.

A popular VPN with torrenters was also blocked last time i checked. Try as they may they couldnt get off the list. I believe a Seedbox provider also tried it once but my memory is fuzzy on that one. Again gave up as there seems to be no real system to remove IP’s. hence the list will soon cover the entire IPv4 space at the rate its growing.

I advise people to go through the list some time and ask why is this IP blocked. The answer is generally no one knows.

I don’t think it reduces speeds and i have never seen or heard of a tracker on the list and if it was simply report it and it will be removed. If if it was a problem people would complain on torrent comments that they can’t connect and yet for some strange reason i have seen not 1 complaint in a decade lol
You said it offers no protection ?
i do NOT believe this is true at all !
And THAT is my point.. *some protection is better than none.. do you lock your doors at night ?
Any protection system is neutered anyway so that is bullshit.. i know hackers that take million dollar companies at will and i have a decades worth of p2p software programming and cracking experience so i’m not a noob ;)
Kinda funny how Peerblock is such a big problem yet i don’t see anyone bitching about the auto updater code i put in “xpmule” taken from the (Morph XT mod) it uses IPFilter.dat and so does uTorrent etc.. and that IS the same list used as the default on PB basically.

Anyway i sincerely believe there is a lot of false info out there when it comes to PB and i encourage people to research and come to their own conclusions EVEN if that means you think i am full of shit lol
