"that only you can listen to it"

Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. And resort to name calling to win an argument (not a good tactic).

When I buy a CD in a shop I am buying a disk, if I were buying a licence to the CD I would be free to format shift it to many different devices which I am currently not, this is actually something that the copyright maximalists (BPI, RIAA, MPAA) have been campaigning against as they do not want it to be considered a licence if you buy a physical disk but they do want it to be a licence in the digital world (MP3 downloads).

So they both want it to be a licence and not be a licence at the same time.

If you really were buying a licence and signing a contract you would not be able to resell the CD/DVD which would break higher laws than copyright (actual criminal laws as opposed to civil infringements).

It seems that you are the one needing to go back to school (I assume that is where you actually reside and this is your summer hols).

You can not freely give that cd and let anyone listen to it AS THEY DO NOT HAVE A FUCKING LICENSE they can sue you its a matter of throwing good money after bad!!! How can i put this in a even more simple way than i already have......

When you buy a cd you are buying a license to the songs you own the disk but the content you have a license to listen to it.

When you buy that cd a contract is formed that you agree to when you buy the cd that only you can listen to it and you can not lend it to others you may want to read the fine print and also the law.....

The uk law is the law the music industry can say what they want but THE LAW IS THE LAW please go educate yourself as i neither have the patience nor desire to educate you on licenses.

"They'll be lucky if younger people buy CDs as they're so busy streaming them lol"

I don't understand how they can do that while being on a usage cap, more likely they stream and rip, and use SD Cards to play on the car radios

OI Moderators: Hold on, this is waiting to be approved by TorrentFreak.

Gets old very quickly THIS ISN'T SPAM. get with the program.
