NBC Acknowledges the power of sharing
Written by Ernesto on January 20, 2006The popular TV show “the office” just got the highest rating ever among adults 18 to 49. The boost in popularity is mainly caused by the availability of iPod downloads. So sharing works, nothing new. People like to watch their favorite show whenever they want to. But what if we add BitTorrent?
That would even give a bigger boost. Offer the tv-shows for free, add a little advertising and save a lot of bandwith. We’re getting a little closer. (via)

its good to see that certain companys are starting to accept that bit-torrent and some other p2p applications can actually help a industry, rarther than claiming that its a bad thing.
Good on NBC
baz, nbc is not acknowledging that p2p apps are a good thing. they are selling their content through itunes, big difference.
I agree with H, unfortunitely, that’s what they’re doing.
TO ALL DOWNLOADERS….!!!!
I am a debut artist who’s just recorded one of the most expensive debut albums in recent history.
We have just released my debut album as a FREE HQ Mp3 download.
It was a tough decision for us to make because of the vast amounts spent on the album. We had two of the biggest record producers in the world work on it…. at Peter Gabriel’s Realworld studio and at Abbey Road studio in london.
Despite all that, we recognise the massive potential the internet and free albums in particular offers. We launched last friday and have already had 1000’s of DL’s all over the world.
Come over and download for FREE.. it takes 2 minutes to DL because we have a dedicated server.
