What I am saying is that Netflix is very heavily controlled and governed by the MPAA and other companies who have strict requirements on Netflix to provide DRM. The reason Silverlight DRM is used is because the interested parties invested large sums of money to fund the DRM and build it to what *they* needed. Changing DRM isn&#039;t something Netflix can just &quot;decide&quot; to do, its something that would need to be discussed with the content providers, and the content providers - who have large shares in the said DRM technology - aren&#039;t going to easily move to a new DRM technology.]]></description>
