VyprVPN Version v2.3.2 simply doesn’t work in China no matter which protocol (including the Chameleon) I pick. The iOS version only supports L2TP and as a result, all connection attempts are failed.

VyprVPN / Chameleon does not work. I bought this likely on a 3 day trial and I correctly installed it (because it was a hassle) and then used it for a couple of hours. Then after I tried to reconnect the VPN would have tons of issues with the TAP connection. this VPN DOES NOT WORK. I looked for help from thier help desk and they just kept asking me questions until my 3 day trial was up. I stopped the auto subscribe on paypal luckily before they could charge me. Then after they just sent a message to me saying hope you come back.

IF others are in China trying to use this please feedback, because the VPN refused to connect to any server for me. (JAPAN, HK, KOREA)

If you get a friend to setup a private relay for you, you can get Tor to work.

Erm, no, logging is not a problem because you can use an anonymous VPN on top of Chameleon (or any other service).

I should think of it as a REAL ISP, since it provides full Internet access without bias. Traditional ISPs are becoming merely interfering conduits.

A YouTube video with very few views wouldn’t benefit from that.

I guess the article stating that people using a VPN will often see faster speeds on YouTube than if they went through their ISP directly.

This is kind of shitty and I don’t blame you for wanting a foolproof method to avoid it!

YouTube is setting up ISP caching within the ISP for YouTube so both YouTube and its users don’t run up big bills with their ISPs.

Now this is where they suck, ISPs throttle their YouTube cache more than they do for a direct connection to YouTube.

Now I am looking for a foolproof method of avoiding these caches on purpose without getting that annoying error when playing videos.
