Bing is just as bad, since it’s run by Microsoft (y’kno, Windows, Office, XBox…), and is the default search engine in any form of Internut Exploder (err, “Internet Explorer”) in the NT 6 family of Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 8.1).
DuckDuckGo is better if you want your privacy and a decent search engine without things being fucked up depending on which country your IP address is coming from (how else do you think Google, Yahoo, et all, automagically redirect you from a .com page to a .co.uk or .com.au and limit what search results show respectively if you’re accessing them from England or Australia?).

This is what happens when we let one company run a monopoly over the internet. Google calls the shots of what results appear in searches, along with their affiliates. We have allowed this to happen. They run the main set of anything that anyone uses, and now it has come to this.

That too, but the salient point is that if the copyright cult actually did have their say, every IT company would be illegal, facebook would be unusable and banks wouldn’t be able to operate internationally anymore, because most of the internet would be going bye-bye at the hardware level.

At which point in time, 300 million sheeple in the US (to name but one location) would stand straight up, deprived of their beloved facebook, twitter, newsfeed and porn sites and find, as the guilty party, copyright.

It’s ironic that the biggest revolutions in history didn’t have, as root cause, dictatorship, beheadings or censorship…but deprivation of creature comforts and luxuries. The people who came to be the US founding fathers were nothing more than occasional whiners up until the point where the british taxed their tea. At which point Boston had their little homebrew party and a new nation was born.
