If Nintendo were smart, which they are not, they would have made available to download onto their consoles their entire back catalog of games. Setup a store and charge an acceptable amount (99c).

Also to combat the PC emulators have an official free emulator with access to the above store.

If it were theft, it’d be charged as theft. Theft’s really simple to prosecute, courts do it every day. copyright isn’t actually property though, it’s a government assigned right which is infringed, so it’s never classed as theft
Go ask your local prosecutor why they’re not the same, that’s the easiest way to get the right information for your jurisdiction

The U.S. has no business getting involved with piracy issues as they pertain to other countries.

After all, in the U.S., a corporation such as Nintendo is a person. The U.S. government would not train and advise other countries on how to act for any regular person, so they should not do so for any corporate “person.”

Or the U.S. could stop the falsehood that corporations are “people.” They aren’t.

Wow, JoKeR, Sony piss in your oatmeal or what?

I don’t pirate 3DS games because I don’t want to lock my device. But I’m less willing to spend money on games that cost 50 bucks, any more than once every few months. (Seriously, Mario Kart 7 has been out for how long now? Why is it as expensive as Rune Factory?) Nintendo’s not getting my money; I guess I’m a pirate?
