What this person doesn’t realize is that the pirated version of Microsoft Office he is running is probably reverse engineered by people from the scene. Without the scene, there wouldn’t be any pirated programs. I agree that it’s pretty useless to race each other for movies, same goes for programs. However, reverse engineering is, unless what most of you realize, a lot of work. You need to know what you are doing, or you’ll never crack it. So, at least some kudos to sceners.

Only groups writing working cracks, keygens, and validators have earned respect, along with the groups that have been in business since before P2P (RNS etc).

I don’t play Crysis, I don’t care :) People who crack it deserve respect anyway, but not people who try to act like elite sceners by saying that everything on P2P is scene are not worthy of respect.

I hope scene groups will stop releasing any games and software for a few months. P2P would dry out immediately.
