" Sceners can lick my ball sack, they arent needed. All they do is race for the ‘first’ release.. whoopdefuckin do… PATHETIC.

I dont give 2 shits about whos first, I can wait for the goddamn DVD to officialy come out, where it will then be ripped by countless others. Sceners are useless. (Except for game crackers).

Grow the fuck up and get a life faggots."

What this person doesn't realize is that the pirated version of Microsoft Office he is running is probably reverse engineered by people from the scene. Without the scene, there wouldn't be any pirated programs. I agree that it's pretty useless to race each other for movies, same goes for programs. However, reverse engineering is, unless what most of you realize, a lot of work. You need to know what you are doing, or you'll never crack it. So, at least some kudos to sceners.

I don't agree with DDoSing a random p2p tracker though. Thats the wrong way to get across the message!

Copying music, movies, and apps. WinDAC/EAC/dbpoweramp, dvddecrypter, alcohol. So easy, a toddler could do it. When you're cracking things like UC, Phrozen, and FFF, let us know. Until then, scene tards, you've been replaced by children. Copying stuff takes no talent, no skill. You've done nothing worth respect. Go ahead, stop releasing those pres. Allow a child to release proper high quality rips instead.

Only groups writing working cracks, keygens, and validators have earned respect, along with the groups that have been in business since before P2P (RNS etc).

Oh yeah, NIN Ghosts, brought to you by P2P, not scene.

"I hope scene groups will stop releasing any games and software for a few months. P2P would dry out immediately."

That's terribly stupid to say. It's only most of the pre-release stuff that is from the scene. Most other stuff isn't.

"Where would you get your cracked Crysis from if there was no scene?"

I don't play Crysis, I don't care :) People who crack it deserve respect anyway, but not people who try to act like elite sceners by saying that everything on P2P is scene are not worthy of respect.

What you scene haters don't get when talking about how easy it is to rip a DVD... There's more to the scene than just TV rips.

When was the last time you cracked a copy protection like Securom?
You can't, that's the point. You'll have to wait for a real scener to do the work for you!

Hopefully norbits will say this in response.
"You guys are assholes, plain and simple. Go take their ip's since that will NEVER hold up in court due to illegally obtained info."

Since it won't hold up, let them and let norbits say fuck off to the "hakcers" who appreantly say that p2p is bad.

Scene people ought to know realize where their hierarchy came from. The reason is was "elite" to be in the scene was because the old scene ran on BBS's. They had limited bandwidth and only a few phone lines, so if a few people were downloading releases, others could not access it. That's why BBS's with scene stuff were limited only to people who would help out by contributing their own cracked software. But now with p2p, we can share with everyone, and not lose any bandwidth. Why can't you see that scene? p2p is your friend.

"all of these punks on bit torrent need to realize that these pre’s they get are ALL pretty much from the scene!"

Pre releases are mostly from the scene, but most stuff on P2P is not from the scene. A P2Per can record a TV show just as well as a scener - possibly even better, because they don't have to worry about being first.

"I still prefer P2P and eventually all the releases come from the scene and end up on P2P so what’s the big deal?"

most popular scene releases are on P2P within minutes :)

MORRADi is legend already. A friend tells me that they’re everywhere now and keep changing names.

" IMHO those guys do have a point and are playing fair. The issued a warning first.

I’m not from the scene but I learned to admire their hard work and discipline. These guys are underground heroes.

We torrenters are a passing fad and a noisy waste of space with no goals. :("

Oh now I hates myself. Thanks a lot.

@30+31:
Well what you described is correct. I didn't argue with the fact that the scene has nice equipment and lots of data. The problem here is: What good is that when it's only a limited circle of people? And on top of that who cares if the servers have a 100Mbit connection to each other? Unless you have that darned thing sit in your basement or live in Sweden or something you won't get that type of linespeed into your house and especially not up.

Since there are no statistics about this I would assume that there are at most a couple thousand members of "the scene" at any time. Enthusiasts that have the time, money and dedication to run something like that. Everyone else is excluded. It took me months to gain enough trust to do little stuff for them so you can't tell me there are millions of sceners doing this every day.

And since it's harder to get into the depths of the scene than into a lesbian bar wearing a shirt "Fuck You Bitch" the scene is pretty much a pre-release group with allures. They do some nice work alright but if you do work that other people can't benefit from that's basically useless. I don't care if a couple dozen people can get stuff from their private servers pretty quickly if P2P does the same thing for much more people. I still prefer P2P and eventually all the releases come from the scene and end up on P2P so what's the big deal?

They can't feel like criminal masterminds anymore. So it gets boring and they hate that.

@30+31:
Well what you described is correct. I didn’t argue with the fact that the scene has nice equipment and lots of data. The problem here is: What good is that when it’s only a limited circle of people? And on top of that who cares if the servers have a 100Mbit connection to each other? Unless you have that darned thing sit in your basement or live in Sweden or something you won’t get that type of linespeed into your house and especially not up.

Who the fuck is MORRADi? Any one calling for a torrent site to be closed, and threatening to release details of it's users is in the pocket of the American RIAA/MPAA. That means they have roots somewhere.

Let's track em down and execute their families in front of them.

Anyone making claims about the scene most likely isn't part of it.

Groups don't benefit in any way by doing what they do, it's just a big game really - a contest to get the most releases, the fastest releases, the best sites and a reputation amongst their peers. A labour of love. P2P isn't really any concern, it's just an easy way for the less technically inclined to land the material they want.

In a way it's a shame that P2P grew to the point it's at today where every idiot can download whatever they want, it's certainly attracted the attention of authorities but then the scene has been successful in dodging that attention since the 80s. Nobody can stop scene releases from appearing on trackers nor would any group care to - it's impossible, releases are always going to filter down to the Average Joe and end up there so while a group might express a distaste for the average P2Per they're not going to attack a tracker hosting one of their releases because it's likely to be on a thousand other trackers at the same time with no centralised point of distribution.

MOSSADi, whoever they are, are likely just some kids trying to add a couple of inches to their e-penis, like most website hacking groups. Who cares if they release details of a trackers users? that's freely available information and in no way incriminates anybody, they're just trying to scare noobs who worry that HAXORS HAVE MY IP ADDRES.

... morradi is "mommy" in Norse. It sounds to me like someone on the Anti-piracy side in their rant, in fact I didn't even gather they were "scene".

I never even met someone "scenic", most folks I met in the reveng craft were laid back solo types with alot of patience and a desire to avoid attention.

5. Most releases come from sceaners..not your average users

Correction, some releases come from the scene, certainly not most. Most content on bittorrent is user generated, not scene generated. If the scene was to vanish up its own arse tomorrow, it would't change a damn thing. People would still upload their cd's, which they do a better job of than the scene who are stuck at 192khz with mp3 and cant tag tracks for shit. People would still upload their dvd movies and probably do a damn site better job of that too becuase they are in no rush to compete and will get it right the first time around. People will still rip and crack games, not all cracks originate from within the scene, there are plenty of talented individuals around who are just as capable without all the drama. So whats left? crappy cams. Who gives a damn about those.

MORRADi is legend already. A friend tells me that they're everywhere now and keep changing names.

IMHO those guys do have a point and are playing fair. The issued a warning first.

I'm not from the scene but I learned to admire their hard work and discipline. These guys are underground heroes.

We torrenters are a passing fad and a noisy waste of space with no goals. :(

Wow... a non-existent scene group trying to expose a torrent tracker. Looks like some dumb kid got bored of playing World of Warcraft :P

There are some scene groups I respect, but MORRADI definitely won't be one of them. I've never heard of them at all, never even seen the name, and none of the release sites have any info on them.

Like any good community, Norbits closes one day, another tracker will open five minutes later, maybe under a different name, maybe the same name.

Either way, MORRADI can go hump a dead moose.

>5. Most releases come from >sceaners..not your average users, >its like crack. If you stop the >producers, the users can’t get hold >of it. Which makes them a target for >the authorities.

It's the laziest thing they do: they hit the smallest part of the chain because they have no resources to contrast the mass of users. Like striking the top of a hive. For the rest, I still haven't seen a day without copyright infringement. It's in continuous transformation. No worry, fuck them

@48 - Your are such an idiot. I don't know where to begin.

@41- You said what I was about to say, all of these punks on bit torrent need to realize that these pre's they get are ALL pretty much from the scene! If p2p and file sharing gets deemed illegal I will laugh at these punks who no longer have no idea how to get any more releases/media.

and on another note- some previous poster was implying that most sceeners have good spelling and grammer...wut?!

So, is there going to be an investigation on why the RIAA and MPAA paid these hackers to do this?

"Go onto IRC to certain networks and talk shit about scener’s, I bet you won’t be able to use your internet connection for at least a week, since a majority of people associated with the scene have quite large personal botnets."

Why should I care about how big someone's botnet is?

"Hey, don't insult that guy - he can beat you up! Never mind that that means nothing at all!"

"Without these people, you wouldn’t have most of the releases you have at the time you do. They provide everything pre-retail."

Yes, they are the main source of pre-release DVDs. It's nice, but waiting two weeks isn't too terrible, is it? And it doesn't make their pathetic "OMGZ U STELS AUR RLS AN PUT IT ON P2P" mindset any less... Pathetic :)

We do appreciate the good sceners. There are plenty of them and I hope you know who you are. There are also plenty of idiots, too, that make it seem like all sceners are like that :(

"I rather have things beforehand, and also since scene rules requires quality releases."

I've seen terrible scene releases and terrible P2P releases. Many sceners just want to be first, nothing else matters, certainly not quality.

"Not a big deal as I don’t need the subs, but you’d think someone would have bothered to check that before they uploaded it."

On P2P, there's nothing wrong with waiting a little bit to make sure your release is good. It doesn't always work perfectly, but it's better than the "FIRST FIRST FISRSTS IFSTISR OMGZ RACE I BET U EVAN IF MY RLZ IS SHIT" attitude of *some* sceners.

I like all beautiful things.
Money and greed is ugly.
The scene is pretty.
Sharing is caring.
The law is evil.
p2p is fair.
Thank you.

"Norbits PWND !

Who cares LoL.
I don’t use them, useless tracker."

NEWS: Tracker A has been shut down.

USER: Who cares? They sucked!

NEWS: Tracker B has been shut down.

USER: BAH! They were crap!

NEWS: Tracker C has been shut down.

USER: Good Riddance!

USERL Hey, where did all the trackers go???

"I rather have things beforehand, and also since scene rules requires quality releases."

And yet they still manage to release some rips that are out of sync, don't play properly on stand-alone players, or have other problems. Yesterday I downloaded Done's copy of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I discovered that the subs were way out of synx with the dialog. Not a big deal as I don't need the subs, but you'd think someone would have bothered to check that before they uploaded it.

and now for something completly different..

what IF this is one organized attack by people who want to harm both sides?

what IF few comments here that are anti-p2p and anti-scene are just from some organized people who are trying to start a fight when there isnt any...

what can all those fools do if any of average users doesnt reply in hear, instead, thinking a bit. just try to imagine, people who will not reply to all in rage, and that they would work together in making internet more free and helpful for all. imagine all of us making pressure to change outdated copyright law and changing corrupted governments. imagine that patents and all the wealth of this world are used for benefits of all men, not just few.

Imagine all the people
SHARING all the world

just imagine. try! you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one.

Notice to 'scene': you're not needed anymore. All the releases you made are being made by regular people on p2p sites. Any fucking retard can rip tv, dvd, blu-ray these days so stop whining and enjoy spreading your releases. Filesharing is the future, move on or die.
