OiNK Admin Released From Custody
Written by Ernesto on October 23, 2007After a turbulent day the admin of the raided OiNK.cd was released from custody. At this point it is still unclear what the legal consequences will be, but it is good to see that OiNK is back home.
The OiNK admin contacted TorrentFreak by email which confirms his release. As for the OiNK users, it is highly doubtful that the IFPI or BPI will go after them all, or even one of them. They do know how to scare people with messages like: “A criminal investigation continues into the identities and activities of the site’s users”, but there is no evidence that they actually will.
More interesting perhaps, how did they gain access to the OiNK domain, and why are they allowed to spread this propaganda? They are not a law-enforcement agency.
NFOrce, the ISP of OiNK, said today in an interview that they were not aware of any illegal activities surrounding the site. They thought OiNK was hosting a streaming video site or a weblog. Yeah, right.
The BBC did a small report on the arrest with a lot of false information, releasing nonsense statements such as: “illegally downloading music onto his website” and “paying subscriptions to enter the website.” The video of the arrest is shown below, see for yourself.

Yeah, WTF are they talking about? No one has EVER paid to get into Oink.
I pray oink to come back, but at this point is very unlikely.
we’ll see

Great site, but please don’t knock the admins. They did what they did because it kept the site clean and anything but what you see with Demonoid.
Please come back OiNK. . .”
I second that
indeed, it’s quite sad that i no longer have a reliable source to download quality albums. but what i’m equally upset about is not having a place to get free software and ebooks. this is a sad, sad day for us all…
oink is gay right? there’s no way any straight male would force somebody to use a cutsy avy. this also explains soooooo much like, anal cleanliness.

^ remember this!
Now its gone. Nearly 4 years are gone.
Very very scary day.
Hope oink and TooMuchTime are all right.
opened my mind to good music
R.I.P.
and i thought the bbc had an obligation to be impartial and truthfull, this proves no one is beyond influence of big buisness.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. No. The BBC is SUPPOSED to be impartial. But (as came out earlier this year) they are lying bastards.
Poor Alan, I hope he gets through all this.
My heart goes out to you ^_^
The Pirate Bay, you know what to do!
“Police say ‘ignorance in using these sites is no longer a defense’”
Not all the torrents on some websites are illegal. Will they consider me downloading the latest version of Ubuntu from TPB pretending to be ignorant? Or what about FireFox? Is that illegal?
Hahahah I like how they put him a “Mobile CCTV” van …
Gotta love staged ‘news reporting’.
Too bad they got Oink and not his legendary asshole admin associate, TMT. But yeah… bad news for lots of folks. I was a longtime Oink user with over 2 terabytes uploaded.
But please, people. Whenever anyone uses the argument ‘Gee, nice to see police are wasting their time on this instead of all the other serious crime’ I cringe at the stupidity of that statement. Not because I agree with going after file-sharing, but because the idea of ignoring everything but the biggest and most serious crimes is just plain dumb. Police can’t only go out each day looking for murder trails. Try applying that idea, that only a few of the most extreme elements of any task are worth pursuing, to something else and the logical holes become immediately obvious.
I would love to know what happened to the men that actually STOLE physical copies of the pre-released material? Where are they?
if only they blew up a van for dramatic effect.
now that’s news worthy.
You didn’t have to pay a damned thing to be a member of Oink. Lying retards.

No doubt. It was the best site on the net for music and audio. Hands-down.
OiNK is a sexy man! I know his face was blurred out in the BBC news still photo, but even if he has a scary face he has quite the body. Did y’all see those bags of CDs? It didn’t look like a drug bust and the policemen had to show something to the cameras. Media lol
Stay alive Oink…Stronger, Better Security if necessary. Please come back OiNK!.
I agree, Oink admins and mods are ball-licking nazis.
So long, Oink… Will miss you.
It was a great community to discover and share music from all around the world… so long…
in desperte need of my oink fix, please help.
why didnt he pay the police like i do?
stupid pig!
LMAO…You think you are so funny FlacInHell. Too bad in reality you are just an idiot. I talked with those who REALLY know firsthand what is up with Pedro’s and once again you are being shown as a foolish liar. Like you really think that Pedro would post a message such as you have posted here is beyond belief. You really are just a delusional fool. Haven’t you learned yet or are you so dense in the head that you don’t comprehend reality and realize that people just laugh at you? I can’t wait till Pedro’s is up again, which it will be once some hardware is fixed, and once again, for the hundredth time, you will look foolish. I guess some things never change. You really need to get a life……
