The so-called digital music revolution is a contributing factor in the continuing philistinism of each generation. Each generation seems to place less and less value on art, whether it’s music, paintings, whatever. It seems to be a form or symptom of dysgenics. Fewer and fewer people have the capacity or attention span to enjoy a full album, and the ones who excel are charlatans. Digital technology can make anyone a singer now. People don’t play instruments anymore; they play computers.

A comically bad performer becomes the inspiration and influence for another generation of comically bad performers, and so on and so forth. Green Day and Blink 182 leads to Paramore and Panic at the Disco. Who’s next?

Pop music used to be made by people like James Brown, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, JIMI FUCKING HENDRIX. Today’s music is SO FUCKING WEAK COMPARED THAT IT MAKES ME WANT TO TAKE A FUCKING GUN TO THE MALL AND PUT EVERYONE DOWN. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? Actually, it did no such thing. Marx said that communism begins with the “dictatorship of the proletariat”. From his letters to Bakunin, we can see that this phrase is another way of saying “direct democracy”

Bakunin: “There are about forty million Germans. Are all forty million going to be members of the government?”

Marx: “Certainly, because the thing starts with the self-government of the commune.”

So, communism begins with direct democracy, which is the complete opposite of the totalitarian societies you allude to. You will see the first glimpse of communism when a nation implements direct democracy over the internet.

This article makes me feel good :-)

It’s interesting to note that the comments are almost all anti-piracy and the few pro-piracy comments get shut down pretty hard. Compare this to a few years ago; very different story.

It seems that good old fashioned debate combined with the networking power of the Internet has brought society to a rational conclusion on this issue.
