I don´t think he is suggesting this, but rather making an observation about the mentality of downloaders. Which is spot on. “I don´t care” (to which more experienced users will add “…for I´ve done my best to protect myself and hope it´s enough”) is what every pirate, basically, thinks. Those who do care have stopped pirating.

In a way piracy is a sort of promotion . I mean people are going to pirate no matter what happens and then there a people that will purchase. The thing they don’t get is some people will never use, watch, or own your product unless they pirated it… These people will never under any circumstance purchase your product.
