Driving my car when not in use? That is different because it costs me money? Getting a song off the internet doesn’t cost anyone any money. I would not have purchased the music in the first place. I would have streamed it. So I fail to see your point?

If you expect the entire world to believe in your lies, you’re going to have a bad time.

Freedom does not equal respect. There is no reason to respect someone for believing in unicorns. All are able to do so just as I am able to judge believers based on the lack of integrity they exhibit.

Furthermore, if you operate entirely upon what you believe to be the will of an imaginary being, you take no responsibility for your own decisions and their consequences. Your decision making process is skewed. You lack the integrity which respect is based on.

Even self-proclaimed believers don’t live according to their religious doctrine. They just make shit up to suit their own of life without taking personal responsibility for it. They claim to know best what their god wants and use this to justify being a liar. If you’re going to lie then just admit to yourself that you are a liar. Then you will become a better liar at least.

The reason why it is high in the Middle East the content want is either hard to get or is illegal in these nations. As for Iran and the Ayatollah he could say it is wrong but Iran does not have any copyright enforcement do the sanctions and any software is copied in Iran anyway.

some religious folks might be prepared to die for their religion, but they would much prefer it if others did…

I always wondered about this, could it be due to them not knowing what actually happens when they die, versus that of what they THINK happens when they die?
