The US may face trade sanctions from EU countries if it goes ahead with this,

“The European Parliament recently passed a proposal to treat Internet
censorship by repressive regimes as a trade barrier. The proposal,
submitted by Jules Maaten of the rightist Dutch VVD party, passed on a
571-38 vote. Maaten describes it as an “unusual, but effective way” to
promote freedom of expression on the Internet.

The initiative targets countries that have enacted heavy restrictions what their citizens can do and see online.”

Could you just pass the COICA then try and prevent other countries from censoring the internet.

If that dosn’t sound hypocritical lol

Could someone come up with a good reason china shouldn’t censor the internet, that would not apply to the US? I think not

There are independent politicians who will fight for issues that really matter to us. The problem is that no one votes for them because they don’t believe that they could ever win. Instead people vote for a populist candidate in the two party system, one who couldn’t care less about what we want.

Support those who will fight for your rights. If we all do it, it will make a difference.

How does the average person find a movie online? They type it into Google. After the title, they might put “download”, “stream”, or “torrent”, depending on how savvy they are. You’ll find that as long as it can be found online, the site that it comes from matters very little. Fact of the matter is, search engines provide an immense amount of traffic and censoring such will greatly limit access.
