Only 2000 have dropped out of Pirate Bay in last couple of days. Looks like nobody cares for right now.. I would have guessed more members expressing their dismay for the foreseeable future. Can anyone point to the Next Best Thing for now, I really want to move away from the Bay, BEFORE we hit the iceburg! Thanks!

This goes out too the founders of the pirate bay who value there back pockets and social well being instead of freedom of speech thats why my founding fathers in america spoke out along time ago. But now they did the same thing that most politicians did to america. They fucking sold us out cause of money. Just like every other politician in this world they would sell their country for a few millions if it wasn’t for the people stopping them at some point. Like #3 said “Arrrhhh this pirate be setting sail for a new port matey”. I would advise everybody else to do the same aswell the pirate bay is dead.

their site will be wothless within a year as it will be most likely shut down or just erodes. That foundation is a big bullcrap. So they are giving away the money but they don’t know to whom coz the ownership is decentralised, too. LOL I bet it ends up in their pocket. Also, I find it hard to believe that they haven’t made any money out of pirate bay so far…

To be honest, I’m not surprised to see this pan out like this. The corporate suits with the unlimited resources, lobbyist in every government in the world, paying off judicial systems to see it their way, you can only get hammered by the corporate bastards of the world before you have to give up and go some place to lick your wounds. Just tells me that corporations hold the true power in the world not our elected governments.

The owners of TPB sold out. They’re trying to spin it as if they’re doing a good thing but not… They sold out not only us but bit torrent technology as well as the cause.

I surely hope their appeals fail in court (Which I am sure they will) and that they lose all this sell out money to the MPAA.

I noticed on Wednesday, they changed the logo on the home page back to the original. I think they want to reduce their user base getting the message that it’s time to bail.

My guess is that only about 10% of their users, realize not only what was announced, but the true implications of such. Not to mention what effect a mass exodus from the site might have.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the word out to millions of those registered users? (I deleted my account a few moments ago) Time to sail on, but would be nice to send them a message on a scale they would hear it.
