Lawyers are not vast wizards defending the law with neutrality.
Lawyers are people that use the law to further the interests of their client.

If their client doesn’t like something, then they’ll use any and every bit of the law to make that argument.
If their client does, they’ll likewise use any legal argument they can to support it.

“lawyers say” is the same as “spokesman says” in that they’re paid to have a position. If you want someone (supposedly) impartial, then what you want is not a lawyer, but a JUDGE.Their job is to be impartial (which is why belonging to activist, lobby or industry groups is REALLY bad for both them, and people in general)

how can you have got to your age, and not understood this?
