hello ...

this is just the beginning, it is soon to be everywhere else in the world, the government will have to do same if they still want legal stuffs also to be available for the zone.

As a developer / an artist & publisher, i have the right to oppose the legal sale of my own work in a country unless the government proves to me that everything will be done to protect my work, even if it seems little when arresting 1, 2 or 18 people.

As the government will also encourage people having nothing to do with piracy to turn down other anonymously, it will be hard but will allow more people to be arrested

As a legit owner i'll make sure i won't lend my stuffs to potential 'thieves' (here for pirates) & as a publisher, a special version ONLY for renting may be released in order to protect my work.

this is where it's going & it is not that bad after all, for all we need is find alternative cheap route to the content we love like buying MP3 songs online from legal sites, a track is cheaper than a whole CD album, some special packages allow you pay cheap subscriptions & download unlimited DRM-ed music. games are cheap after 3-6 months & you have time to finish that top 1 you just bought, movies are available everywhere from Sat-tv to VOD sites for cheap / same download time but legal, easy access & software: I have tons of freewares / portable apps that does the thing & some comes OEM with the equipment purchased ...we now can & should risking our lives & peace of mind because of piracy ...

cheers!

No you're wrong. Copyright infringement is *not* theft, it is merely infringement of the copyrights - the clue is in the name.

As a copyright owner, you reserve the right to specify how others may copy a piece of work without ever giving away those rights. In other words, as the copyright owner you can decide that your work is freely distributable (can be copied, derivative works made from it etc). Anyone copying the file would still be infringing upon your copyright, but had you given express permission for them to do so then it'd be perfectly lawful for them to do so.

The deliberate obfuscation of the issue by equating infringment of copyrights (which come in many forms - Commercial, CC, Copyleft, Copywrong for instance) with theft is nothing short of trolling and smacks of shillism.

By contribute to the sharing community I mean seeding what I got. And by advertising I mean tell ppl about the stuff and encourage them to try via sharing. Just in case the copywrong fanboys try to distort what I said ;)

But I would upload something if I had the original and thought it was worth it.

LoL. Srsly? 20ish songs/movies and 6 games? I have done much better than this lol.

Please stop embarrassing yourselves MAFIAA and Governments. Heavy uploaders can't be found unless they decide to go to some police officer and tell about everything.

I'm not any uploader at all but I do contribute to the sharing community. As I also do contribute with the artists/developers when I feel it's worth it (and I do some free advertising along with it encouraging them to check the torrents).

I wonder what's next. Ppl will be labeled as criminals for letting their neighbors listen to their music or read their books. And libraries, those evildoers, should all be demolished. Or condemned to have only books with more than 30 yrs old (or whatever the copyright lifespan is). Sad times. But nothing is bad forever, the sharing era will rise and creators will earn their money because they deserve it, not because some stupid law says they should.
