The only thing that makes the unauthorized distribution of copyright material justifiable is that no money is changing hands and that nobody really loses out. I, for example, would never dream of shelling out for a new release movie on DVD, so if I download a copy, nobody is any worse off. Selling pirate material, on the other hand, is plain wrong – people who are happy to pay for a new release on DVD are giving their money to some little greed little scrote rather than to the people who produced the material.

You guys make me sick with this “lock him up if he’s selling” BS. The guy is taking a massive risk by camming the films. I say go ahead and make something off of it. Hell do you work every day for free? Do you reformat someone’s pc for free? If you do then your an idiot. You get paid for labor. No wait… “I” get paid for labor, I dont know what you idiots do. Probably live in mommy’s basement. The fact that he went through the trouble to do it is considered reason enough for monetary compensation. The world doesn’t revolve around good feelings, it revolves around money. Plain and simple. maVen was simply hustling like everyone does. It just so happens that his “hustle” granted too much attention and he got busted. My thoughts are with you Geremi. Jail is a bad place. If you have to go, just keep positive. Everything will be fine in time. Believe me, I know.

1st If you (#96)in any way are under the impression that attaining movies via torrents is hacking, you really don’t know anything….sorry

2nd Screw that, I would go out and upload dvd quality rips all the time, or cam’s in this case, if in any way I was compensated for it. Let’s face it, none of us have “special delivery” dvd rips delivered in the mail prior to their release, unless yer one of those silly movir reviewers. So whomever ul’s these things, or videos them for that matter, has to go out of their way to do so. It costs them time and money to do it. Granted it would be super duper nice, but screw that. Think about it, I wanted a better cam, he would need a now video camera, if everyone that was so eager to take from him, would contribute a frikkin penny, we would have better quality movies, would you be bitching then?

So I agree that its wrong to sell like this…..
But then I look at one of the loudest complainers sites…and altho he might not be doing this….I see all kind of…”exploit” pages on his site.
So imo……he is no better at all….you still want to exploit people via there pc’s…. I think your more of a bottom feeder than someone that makes money off of piracy.

Maybe if the movie racket industry actually made movies worth watching and paying for again? No that would be too much to ask for. Doesn’t “Big Brother” realize if they sold these movies for a reasonable price, like 2-3 US dollars, we would probably go to the movies and rental store more often, their greed created this. For maVen to charge for his releases, essentially ruins the entire fabric of what we do and why. If he had used the cash to by a supercamera*, would it have been more justified? The rich people are just gettin mad cause they are staying as rich as they wanted to. Fuck’em. When my idea of a pricey night out on the town is spending $100’s for movie tickets and drinks for a few friends, and a expensive night out for the guys that are bitch’n about losing money is flying their family to Australia for a day, “those guys” can kiss my semi-broke ass when they start asking why they cant afford their 12th yatch. I’d rather watch it on my TV at home for the time it took to dl it, and get a hummer without having to make use of the nearest coat. As long as they assrape us with their inflated and greedy ways, we will have the stoner cracked out in his basement, empty cigarettes everywhere, old pizza boxes, and 18 cases of Redbull, figuring out how to take a little back. I am an American, but we Americans are getting sick of getting screwed in the drive through. How can they plan on convincing us that what we are doing is illegal, when they have been assraping our morals cause they knew we had no other option. Now we do. and it’s time we took a little back.
