No you need the police but whether you need them wasting their time on arresting file sharers is another matter. I share but I’ve got nothing against the police. Was a time in the past I’d refer to them in an unflattering light (too strong for me to want to repeat here) but in the end I came to the conclusion that they are doing a job involving shift work and they are dealing with car accidents where whole families including very young children have died or people have committed suicide – tough job sometimes. The bad things we see once or twice in a lifetime they see on a regular basis. We need the police but we don’t need them acting like a assholes – beating people who they arrest or heavy handed policing of demonstrations. Some policemen turn a blind eye to other policemen who are violent reckoning that its better to have a few policemen who are like that on the team. They can be narrow visioned with many of them referring to so called “criminals” as “animals” who don’t qualify for the label “human” but that’s normally a value judgement. For example a successful local caucasian 50 year old accountant finds out his wife has done something and in a fit of rage knocks her out (they are a very rich, upper-middle class family). Now the police arrive – well he’s had a moment – he’s arrested but the police and judge call that “a moment”. Now a rasta or a caucasian with lots of tattoos does the same thing for the same reason well to quote: “they’re just animals”. See the police fail when they make an assumption that because you don’t fit their perception of their “masters” – you are below them – you don’t deserve fair treatment because you are an “animal”. We need the police but we don’t need the stupidity of some of them. Police the police – you know its makes sense.

Nobody really support them. The MAFIA hire paid trolls using multiple aliases to give you the impression that some people support these criminals. Yet given the overwhelming majority against them they can not make a dent. There are few exceptions of course such as Gene Simon but their heads will make nice trophy in our living room wall soon.

Swedish must not be interested in killing each other everyday, with the excuse they need guns to overthrow a dictatorial government in their own land, meanwhile they’re just committing crimes, killing their classmates and neighbours, then ironically praising their rulers no matter what they do with them, as long as they kill foreigners and invade their nations to demonstrate supremacy.

Overall I think the message is good.

The police would rather be out, actully helping society as well, the guys coming to arrest people for file sharing are just doing what they have to do to keep living, they’d get fired otherwise.

The problem here are the guys giving the orders, ruining laws and accepting inhuman treaties, the corrupt politician and the corrupt judge that get money from the studios and their lobby groups like antipiratbyran or fact or ria or rights alliance or whatever they call themselves each time.

Note that accessory to copyright infringement, like in the Pirate Bay case, is a criminal offense in Sweden, not a civilian.

There, not in other countries. Good luck prosecuting everyone who enters there, even just to see the website.

Copyright infringement is a crime with victims and shall be punished just like all other crimes.

Nonsense. Victims who lose less than in more serious offenses. And, hell, given how is economical situation, you gain a place to live, food several times and day, and even money as if you were unemployed while you were jailed. It’s not so bad.
