I will never look at Hollywoods´s film..no more..this is just ridiculous..they are ripping out my favourite sites..wanna to kill myself..at lest got some average alternative with sites like http://frombar.co/ but obviously its not so quality site like http://frombar.com/ …just hoping they will not shut down rest of my favourites sites with torrents and streams.. and worst thing here – we dont have any weapons to defend ourselfs

The latest news I heard is from January 2013 where the Judge said since Lenz showed no evidence that UMG acted in bad faith then a FULL TRIAL is needed.

Here lies the problem. How can you prove that company X acted in bad faith when they wrongly used the DMCA to take down your content? You can prove that the takedown should not have happened due to fair use but it’s virtually impossible to prove that the takedown occurred in bad faith.

Anotherwards company X can wrongfully use the DMCA to censor works of other people and it is perfectly okay to do so as long as they aren’t doing it in bad faith. Even if they are doing it in bad faith since you can’t prove it then it is still okay.

Well it has been 7 years since this case first started. At this rate her son will get old enough to sue UMG himself. She is after her court costs and payment for 10 hours of her time.

What with this trial, appeals and more appeals, then yes this case will go on for many more years yet.

Yes Iceland domains are the way to go. ISNIC the .is registry has stated on their website that they would not seize domains.

The problem is that the sites like frombar/sportlemon are using domain registrars (such as namecheap) and are not going direct to the domain REGISTY (like isnic.is or tonic.to).

The police send threatening letters to the registry & they hand over the domain. The Icelandic registry stated that it would take a court order from the Icelandic courts to seize a domain name.
