What about subtitles. The Internet is a big thing. Sweden is a little bit of it, but we’d like to download, share and pay/donate in terms of ability.
Is this a joke? No one says no to a fat income.
Just a trick, just one film.
I don’t believe this is for real. Just another way for the wrong people to make a profit.
You see, after the latest events in Sweden about filesharing, and the thing about DRM, there is a great mistrust against big company’s will to make an effort in making culture like music, film and other things available for the big audience.
It is a long, long way back for you/them to have our confidence. If ever…

what happen to the old saying “if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all”? anyways i do agree the film left alot to be desired, but what were you expecting a diamond in the ruff. i think alot of these comments have gotten away from mr winters main goal and that was to let you the auidence decide what you feel the film is worth not to bash and write how trashy and violent the film was itself. hopefully this method picks up for more indie film makers.

but in reality i never expect hollywood to participate in this method. so hats off to the blank cast and crew for trying to revive the peer to peer method of distribution.

lastly, i did not like the film, but i respect their effort.

Really REALLY terrible movie.

the ONLY reason I downloaded it was because I believed in its torrent distribution method, and I was planning on donating. but this is such a vile piece of tripe that I should be charging THEM for having taken up space in my mind. It sucked.

Violence just for the sake of violence? Why not just watch a traffic accident reel?

TO THE CREW: Please – do us all a favor, and find another line of work. I just can’t stress to you ALL how awful this was. I appreciate that there must have been a lot of work put into this film, but really, all of the actors and especially the director, should consider getting jobs working at the local humane society killing unwanted animals. That way, their desire to inflict pain would actually serve a purpose.

I will now proceed to scrub this download from my harddrive, and let as many users know NOT to waste their bandwidth.

Too bad… such an innovative distribution method for such a stinking pile.

Responding to #46 schadenfreude above, thanks for saving me the time and space of downloading this movie. I have seen a lot of indie films, so I understand what you mean about the overall quality of the production without even seeing it. I do however think the filmmakers have a good idea in utilizing p2p for distribution. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em comes to mind. Also, though, I think it important to mention that there is no substitute for a good, dependable, reputable, professional distributor who can get your film into theaters and up your dvd sales. Most filmmakers don’t have the contacts, knowledge or financing to make this possible. True, there are also a lot of hack distribs out there but there are also a lot of honest, hard working reps who can make a film’s success. They go to the film markets, build reputations with theater owners and stores and online merchants. They arrange advertising, publicity, duplication, graphics, design, and often front the P & A money needed for all that. Going it on your own is akin to selling your own house vs. using a real estate broker or representing yourself in court. You can do it but you won’t do it as well, and wouldn’t you also rather be spending that time and energy on your next film project instead?

I don’t even know if this qualifies as a film. The writing, acting, and sound are so bad I don’t believe for a minute that they received “several distribution offers.”

The product doesn’t even meet the minimum requirements for DVD distribution, so they did the next best thing-a publicity stunt where they claim to be sticking it to The Man AND P2P pirates at the same time. The producer/director always pays himself first, after recouping expenses, so there’s zero chance anyone else involved will see a dime for their work.

to Think about it-There’s no studio involvement here, so who are you applauding?
