Rapidgator refuses to delete illegal content even after providing all details they need in their dmca format and they just reply with a standard message no matter what, they base most of their business on illegal file sharing and this hurts small authors whose work is pirated and can't be deleted because rapidgator makes money from this.

I believe on free sharing on internet but some people earn their living by selling digital content and they don't make millions so just another copy of an item doesn't matter like it happens with big studio, the impact is bigger and websites like rapidgator makes life really hard for selling digital content on the internet.

False "copyright" claims are a major problem. There are virtually no consequences for making a false claim, and an out of control claim process across the different providers. Thousands, perhaps millions, of people are being hit with consequences (from loss of data to loss of access to services) simply because of false claims. But, look at what is really happening here : copyright itself is aimed at commodifying all exchange of information, not just the copyrighted segment. This being the dynamic, it matters less and less whether information is subject to copyright or not. What does matter is power - the relative power some parties have to claim a copyright and get action from service providers. Most regular folks do not have such power, capitalist corporations and capitalist institutions do.

This false claim phenomenon has been enabled by the DMCA - that is to say, it has been engineered by the very governments that support capitalism and capitalist power. False claims are a means to put all information sharing - copyrighted info or not - under the thumb of powerful interests. And those means are effective in many respects. Ordinary folks who are trying to create things and share them on the internet have or are going to have a very hard time doing that, because they are on the wrong side of the power equation *in the context of capitalist social relations.*

But I still think someone should file a lawsuit against Google and the companies that filed the DMCA. To teach them a lesson.
