Maybe we should be allowed to throw takedown requests against the copyright lobbyists because who cares if a legit link is indexed by google right? Nobody is going to check these statements because it’s not workable. Come with a solution and you don’t have to clean up this mess including the leeches of the industry. It’s costing every side more than you get out of it.

Google should recall all too well those two guys in a basement who decided to bet on convenience and managed to outcompete the incumbent giants overnight. Turning into the giant they are now.

The same could – easily – be done to them in turn.

And the reason that won’t happen is because copyright enforcement still can’t coexist with modern mass communications and never will.

It’ll get sorted once every and any DMCA or takedown request MUST be manually designated in a court of law and not before. Up until that point, freedom of speech will be conditional on no one desiring to shut you up.
