Don’t really thing people will use rapid share without the rewards program.
With my internet i get a 600 KBytes / sec speed on rapidshare, not even close to torrents so for me, torrents suck.
I just downloaded i think 10 GB yesterday, i will have to see it got…that would mean no more movies for me. :(

Rapidshare is dead. I have used them since 2007 but this is the last straw. After changing their system on the 29th I opened up my account a saw that 1 year of prepaid services has disappeared. So i opened my dispute with paypal and rapidshare closed my account, did not refund me the money that i paid till 2011. They won’t answer my phone calls and emails either. This has happened to many people. Hopefully people start using nl or another filesharing now as RS is dead, they are scammers and thiefs. I’m wondering if some anti piracy group bought them and are killing them off slowly.

Some of us from the old school of sharing shudder at what has been passed down to the new generation through the name of sharing…

I hope that other filesharing sites would also be forced to shutdown their rewards program.

Premium users should grab a free account now and use RS to remotly upload to another filehost. Increasing there bandwith dramtically and cutting there income from customers by an easy 50%, effectivly producing an all time low quarter forcing them to cater to the customer that they “claim” to frown upon. The’ll sure be frowning away. RS is to large of a company to allow this to kill thier business. It will be back.

I don’t understand why people even bother with http and fpt downloads when we have torrent indexing sites.
Sure, safer content, but I don’t know ANY torrenting site that doesn’t have a comment system that you can read the comments to evaluate the threat of what you are downloading.

Paying a fee to do something that is really illegal seems down right stupid.
