Well it just happened again on the anti-piracy boss being jailed for 2 years news so I don’t know why Ernesto’s news has no Disqus support while Andy’s news has.

We may have to hear that answer on TechDirt or Ars at this rate.

ICANN administers DNS. If they don’t allow you to be a registrar, then you can’t register domains. That’s pretty serious if your business relies on it.

This is the first time I have ever seen comments to a news report being denied. I can only hope this is not repeated or they could soon act like the BBC who only allow comments on pro-UK news or predicted nice replies.

I can only guess due to recent UK censorship attempts of TF they are being careful to avoid user links being posted even if such links are already banned here and could be manually removed if needed. They could also be avoiding pro-piracy views but that is hardly helpful.

Well even I stopped my weekly hash key postings months ago and did not resume to avoid getting TF in trouble. Law is one thing that I do stand by but censorship is quite another. So I do understand what they face but TF should always remember that you cannot fight censorship by employing your own censorship.
